October is Sexual Violence Awareness Month.
Over 30 victim-survivors participated in photographic and art workshops across Queensland, from Logan to Townsville, producing photographs and art reflecting the Sexual Violence Awareness Month main theme: Survivor Voices with sub-themes including โHear Us Rise Togetherโ, โI Refuse To Be Silentโ and โWomen, Find Your Voice!โ amongst many others.
This original work captures the strength, fortitude, dignity and hope for change of victim-survivors and evidences the importance of them having a voice that shapes and improves the way our community responds to sexual violence.
QSAN thanks the Queensland Government for supporting these activities and SVAM 2024.
In particular, QSAN would like to thank the many victim survivors of sexual violence who participated in the workshops so positively and helped produce this amazing art!
You are welcome to use these images with the accompanying text and links back to the QSAN website.
