Summary of service
We provide support for males and gender diverse people, impacted by sexual violence (14+ years).
Programs and initiatives
Counselling Support
- We offer the choice to access short-term (6 sessions) counselling. This counselling is free and will be provided by the same counsellor/practitioner.
- We have counsellors from different genders, and sessions can be face to face (Brisbane only), or virtual/phone. We provide support QLD wide.
Case Management
- Victim Assist QLD and/or National Redress Scheme application support
- Police and Court support
- Support to access long-term counselling
- Victim Impact Statements
- Victim Register
- On-referral to range of other services (e.g., housing/homelessness; National Redress Scheme; Family Support Services)
Emergency relief
None.
Waiting space/safe space
We have centres in Brisbane, Mt Isa and Townsville where people can drop in or visit to access a worker. They are safe spaces.
