QCDFVR has now been at the forefront of the Queensland domestic and family violence scene for more than a decade and is regarded as a leader in the sector.

GCCASV is a free, confidential service for women of all ages. It provides a safe, supportive, woman-centred environment in which sexual violence survivors can become aware of their own strengths and gain confidence and control of their lives.
Any female over the age of 15 who has ever experienced any form of sexual violence may contact the service and organise an appointment. Referrals from other professionals or support people will be confirmed by GCCASV directly with the woman.

The Women’s Centre incorporates the Sexual Assault Support Service - Townsville Region, a Specialist Homelessness Service and a Women’s Health Service. The Sexual Assault Support Service provides a 24hr response to people presenting at Police stations, the Hospital or GP clinics, as a part of the Townsville Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). The Townsville SART is a free and confidential support service to people who have experienced sexual assault. Townsville's SART comprises counsellors from the Sexual Assault Support Service, detectives from the Sexual Crimes Unit, nurse examiners from the Clinical Forensic Medicine Unit,and social work staff from Townsville University Hospital.
